It was great meeting Tracy Reese. I was talking while I should have been smiling for the picture. I was able to ask her a few questions about how an attorney, like myself, can be of assistance to designers in the industry. However, I was most grateful for her discussion about the business of fashion and how designers have to do the foot work to improve their brand. As I embark on my own design career, it was inspirational to hear how she started and to see all she has accomplished. She continues to evolve and so does her brand. Where are you headed for the Christmas & New Year Holiday? Some place warm & cozy, surrounded by the people you love, I pray. So, how do you travel when going on a escapade? You know my motto, Keep It Sexy Simple! Recently, I escaped & this is how I travel, long dress, flip-flops & carry-on pieces. A while back, in my more youthful days, I would overpack. I have a story, I will tell you about in another post. I vowed never again to overpack. Now I travel light, in style & with all carry-on pieces, if I can help it. I bought these twin bags some years ago at Target. It was one of Oprah’s picks & they have held up. Thank you Oprah!
So, in summary:
1. Pack light, so you can walk off the plane & wait for no luggage;
2. Be comfortable…don’t forget a wrap for the chilly plane & of course…
3. Be as stylish as your heart desires!
