Celebrating St. Lucia’s Independence

Happy 39th Anniversary! Repping in my Helen of the West Panel Skirt, which symbolizes the colors of the flag.

The blue signifies the sky and the sea, the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, which surround the country. The black and white symbolize the races. The yellow symbolises the sunshine and prosperity. The triangles represent the Pitons which are twin volcanic cones in the southwest part of the island & unity. Gros Piton and Petit Piton are a national symbol of Saint Lucia.

Cheers to you! Continued peace & harmony for this beautiful place my family is from😘

You can never go wrong with a flowing dress or a skirt!  Wear it to work, then transition to an evening of fun.  Just throw one on that fits your shape, no fuss no muss.

Birthday Outings! Such a Gemini...it was cold so I threw on some leggings with my sandals. It works!

Giving thanks for another blessed year! Paired up my African skirt with simple blouse and jacket for work, then take off the jacket for after work birthday shenanigans!

Stopping to smell the tulips. Pair up a dark colored skirt with a bright top, funk it up!

Cheers to my Geminis!  Love the life you live…in a skirt 😄!

Ready To Work…

Barely!  But, I got my Illy Coffee in hand, my Kind Bar Fruit & Nut Delight, and my tools.  So, let’s hop to it.  It’s hump day, do a little dance, thank God you made it this far.  Embrace the rain today and why not make a statement!

Want to liven up your work week? Take a flamboyant skirt, dress it down with a blouse, blazer and/or simple heel/flat and you got yourself a statement.  You balance out the fanciness of the skirt with the subdued pieces.  Here, I am wearing a cascading silver skirt, short in the front, long in the back with a black top and black heels.  Change the shoes and blouse and I could easily wear this skirt to a wedding, on a date, to a show if need be.

Here's a closer look at the skirt. Find something similar in your closet and try out the look!
